There is so much satisfaction in seeing all those glistening new jars of canned vegies and fruits all in rows! And knowing that when winter comes, and it's so dreary outside...a jar of 'canned sunshine' awaits in my pantry! (All my canning supplies are so 'well used' that I would love to can with all new ones!)

helped my mom with canning as a child then i started canning for my family when i had more from the garden than we could eat. would be great to have the new updated version of the canning book.

Gosh, my Grandma canned everything and we helped. I canned when my kids were young and then quit when the family moved out. Now my youngest daughter is into canning and my interest has revived. I gave away all my stuff and am re purchasing, (yard sales and goodwill are great!! A lost art but so satisfying and so much fun to eat those goodies when the snow flies!!

I haven't canned in years! When we first moved into this house, twenty years ago (!), there was a wonderful peach tree and that was the first thing I canned. I also canned tomatoes and salsa and have wanted to get back into it (water bath canning only). A friend of mine is also interested so seeing your contest and what it offers is GREAT!!!
